Who I am, What I do & How I do it

IMG_1879_edited.jpg

I am a wife, mother to a precious little girl, and mother to five fur babies.

I offer individual counselling services in a neutral, non-judgmental, and safe therapeutic space to help you find clarity and direction in order to face life's challenges.

I work with individuals who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as those who are undergoing various other life stressors such as adjusting to school, relationships, health, and work.

Through fostering animals for various animal-rescue organisations, I began to combine my training as a therapist and my love for animals to facilitate powerful moments of connection, healing and growth in the therapeutic process.

Animals can provide a sense of calm, comfort, or safety and divert attention away from a stressful situation. Developing a bond with an animal can help people develop a better sense of self-worth and trust, stabilize their emotions and improve their communication, self-regulation, and socialization skills. Interacting with an animal can also lower your heart rate, as well as increase serotonin and dopamine levels.
